The large hoof brush made of walnut wood combines two types of bristle: bronze bristles in the middle for stubborn manure, bedding and mud, fine horsehair bristles at the edge for sand and dust. Because the soft bristles sit on the outside, the hard centre does not run over the coronary band. The brush works dry – that is the real point, because in winter you save yourself the hose.

To be honest: €42.50 is many times what a plastic brush costs, and it does not clean faster but more thoroughly and more gently. And walnut wood does not tolerate permanent damp: shake it off after wet use and leave it to dry, otherwise the wood turns grey and dull.

Directions: Brush the hoof evenly to loosen dirt and grime. For stubborn dirt, work with light pressure. Suitable for dry and wet hooves.
