Airbag riding vests – maximum protection when riding

Airbag riding vests are among the most modern protective equipment in equestrian sport. In a fall, the airbag deploys in milliseconds and protects the spine, ribs and vital organs. At Equinista we stock airbag riding vests from Cavalleria Toscana – developed for riders who make no compromises on safety.

How does an airbag riding vest work?

The vest is connected to the saddle by a cable. In a fall, the cable pulls the trigger and the airbag inflates in under 0.1 seconds. Modern systems also work electronically without a cable.

• Protection: Spine, ribs, shoulders, tailbone
• Deployment: Mechanical (cable) or electronic
• Fit: Close-fitting, not restrictive
• Certification: EN 13158 Level 3
